Coating System
Types Of Coat

1. Tack Coat

Is a light covering coat applied to the surface and is allowed to flash-off until it is tacky, which generally takes a few minutes. The following wet coat is then sprayed over the tack coat. This method allows the application of heavier wet coats without sagging or runs.

2. Full Wet Coat

Is a heavy, glossy coat applied in a thickness almost heavy enough to run. It requires good experience to spray such a coat.

3. Mist Coat

Is an incomplete spatter coat applied with a very fast gun motion.
This is to partly display the air in porous coatings like inorganic zinc primer before over coating.

4. Stripe Coat
Application by brush of difficult areas such as corners and edges.
