One Layer of coating is sufficient for the purpose.

Uses

• When a short life is expected, e.g. structural steel coated at the mill to protect
  until it reaches the construction site, whereupon it is blast cleaned and a full
  protection system applied.
• Applied for decorative reasons – Interior of house or buildings.
• When coating is specially formulated for one coat application – zinc rich coatings.

Problems

• Solvent entrapment.
• Hard to maintain specified coating thickness and uniformity.
• Holidays and misses.
