of the environments.
Generally,
a coating is classified as organic or inorganic. Most
of the coatings are organic. The binder in an organic
coating is made from tung oil, caster oil, linseed oil,
fish oil, coal, petroleum, etc. These coatings all contain
carbon.
An
inorganic coating is based on the use of an inorganic
binder such as sodium silicate, calcium silicate, lithium
silicate and ethyl silicate.
